We’re very lucky to live in such a beautiful spot in Everton Park where good coffee and good food is around every corner. And the only thing better than a good coffee, is a place that you can enjoy it with your kids! Here are our top recommendations of the best cafes & coffee carts to visit in the Everton Park area with kids.
1. Coastal Coffee
Teralba Park (next to Scout hut, 120 Pullen Rd, Everton Park QLD 4053)
Coffee at the park with the kids? Say less! We absolutely adore Coastal Coffee. Nestled next to the Scout Hut, it is the perfect spot to grab a coffee while the kids enjoy a play at the incredible Teralba Park.
Expect good coffee, matcha, soda pops, babyccinos and puppuccinos, along with a curated selection of bakery treats, including cookies, muffins and banana bread.
Open Monday to Wednesday from 6 am–12 pm | Saturday & Sunday: 7 am–12 pm | Closed Thursday & Friday*
2. Gather & Graze
2 Chinook Street, Everton Hills
A self-declared beautiful bespoke space for the community to gather and graze. We love the relaxed, welcoming vibes of Gather & Graze. The family-owned cafe has a quality menu that is fresh and well-balanced — think bowls, burgers and good coffee. It’s also dog-friendly, with outside seating available and puppy treats and puppuccinos for sale!
Open Daily 6:00am – 2:00pm*
3. Birds & Bees Café
5/1-5 Queens Road, Everton Hills
A cafe with a dedicated kids play space? Sounds like heaven! As well as all your usual cafe favourites, their extensive menu also features Latin American options. It’s kid and dog friendly and the perfect spot for a slow weekend morning!
The outdoor area is fully undercover, also making it a great option for rainy days.
Open Monday to Friday 6:00am – 2:00pm | Saturday & Sunday 7:00am – 2:00pm*
4. Hammerich’s Coffee Everton Hills
1001 South Pine Road, Everton Hills
If you’re an early riser (and let’s face it, most parents are), Hammerich’s opens at 4:30am on weekdays — making it one of the earliest starts in the area. Known for consistently good coffee and a team that locals love, it’s a no-fuss spot before the day gets going. Great for a quick stop with the kids, or a takeaway on the way to the park!
Open Monday to Saturday from 4:30am | Closed Sundays*
5. Chipmunks Playland & Cafe
22/97 Flockton Street, Everton Park
Sometimes the best meal is one that comes with built-in entertainment. Chipmunks combines indoor play with cafe-style dining, making it ideal for younger children who need plenty of space to move, climb and burn energy before sitting down for a snack or meal. If you need a guaranteed win on a rainy day, this is it.
Open Monday to Saturday from 9am-5pm | Sundays 10am-4pm*
6. Vito’s Espresso Bar
Shop 10, 768 Stafford Road, Everton Park
If you’re out with the kids at Everton Park Shopping Centre, then make sure you drop into Vito. It’s the kind of local cafe that feels like a second home. They opened their doors in May 2015 with a simple goal: to serve great Segafredo coffee, use quality local ingredients, and create a space where everyone feels welcome. The menu is truly mouth-watering, whether it’s Vito’s Brekky Stack, the hotcakes or the brekky burrito – you’ll be in safe hands!
Open Monday to Friday 6:30am – 2:00pm | Saturday & Sunday 7:00am – 2:00pm*
